In the fall of 2006, the Bow Conservation Commission invited residents to photograph various aspects of the town's conservation lands to increase awareness of the town's open space lands and natural resources and to encourage their sustainable use. Twenty-eight photographs were submitted by 11 individuals, who captured the many beautiful aspects of Bow's open space lands. Judging of the photo entries was done by the Bow Conservation Commission with the assistance of Ken Williams, photographer with the Concord Monitor, and Becky Field of Concord.

The awardees were recognized in a ceremony held at the Baker Free library in February 2007. In addition to receiving certificates and gift certificates, some area businesses and organizations donated items for contest winners.

Bow residents will see Kally Abrams' winning image on the 2006 Town Report, the photo chosen by the Board of Selectmen.
