MISSION:

Provide professional support for the Planning Board and the Business Development Commission under the direction of the Town Manager.

CURRENT PRIORITIES:

1. Support Business Development Commission efforts to implement the Economic Development Strategy.

2. Support Planning Board efforts to update the Town master plan.

CURRENT ACTIVITIES:

1. Coordinate and administer consultant contracts for services to the Town through the Business Development Commission and Planning Board.

2. Provide technical and administrative support to the Business Development Commission in its efforts to develop a municipal water system and a municipal wastewater collection and transport system.

3. Provide technical and administrative support to the Planning Board as it updates the Town master plan.

4. Provide technical and administrative support to the Planning Board in the regulation of land development and land use.

5. Provide technical and administrative support to the Planning Board in updating land development and use ordinances and regulations.

6. Coordinate activities of the Planning Board and Business Development Commission with Town boards, commissions, and departments.

7. Provide point of contact services to the public for the Planning Board and Business Development Commission.

8. Provide staff administration of the Zoning Ordinance.

9. Develop and maintain public information systems to ensure compliance with right to know laws and requirements.
