Bow's
Location Advantage:
Bow is truly a "central" location. It is near the ocean,
the lakes, the mountains, scenic and historic sites. Bow is situated
at the junction of Route 93 and Route 89 (Route 93 runs through Bow
from Boston in the South, to near Canada in the North, and Route 89
originates in Bow and runs west into Vermont). The scenic Merrimack
River borders Bow to its east. A main rail line with sidings parallels
Bow's commercial and industrial zones.
Bow is located less than 5 miles from downtown Concord, NH to the
north. Concord, the state capitol, is a progressive city with an active
nightlife and business community, and an extremely low crime and unemployment
rate.
The Town of Bow is also just 15 minutes to the largest
city in New Hampshire: Manchester. Manchester was voted the 3rd most
livable city in America (Money Magazine 1998). The modern Manchester
International Airport is just 20 miles from Bow.
An hour
east is the Atlantic Ocean, the shipping port in Portsmouth, and the
Pease International Trade Port (formerly Pease Air Force Base). Boston
and its suburbs are just over an hour south. The center of Vermont,
and its markets, are just an hour and a half to the west, and the
Canadian border is just over two and one-half hours north.
