Planning Board meets the THIRD Thursday of every month at 7:00 p.m. and often the first Thursday depending on the volume of business; check the calendar. They meet in the Town Municipal Building at 10 Grandview Road in meeting room "C".

The Planning Board consists of seven (7) Regular Members and five (5) Alternate Members and one of the Regular Members is a Representative from the Board of Selectmen. Members are appointed to three year terms by the Board of Selectmen.

Regular members are: Above officers, Sandy Crystall, Bruce Marshall, Andy Young and Tom Keane (Selectmen Representative).

Alternate Members are: Dennis Ordway, Allen Lindquist, Tony Reynolds and Donald Berube, Jr. and Colleen Hunter (Alternate Selectmen Representative).

Mission:

New Hampshire statutes (RSA 674:1, 5, 35, & 43) establish the duties of the Planning Board. Among the duties are the responsibility to:

  1. Prepare and update the Town master plan;
  2. Prepare recommendations for programs for municipal development, programs for the erection of public structures, and programs for municipal improvements;
  3. Prepare recommendations for amendments to the zoning ordinance and zoning map;
  4. Prepare and update the capital improvements program; and
  5. Prepare and administer land development regulations such as subdivision regulations and site plan review regulations.

Current Activities:

  1. Update the Land Subdivision Regulations and Site Plan Review Regulations.
  2. Oversee the construction of new Town roads and the development of sites.
  3. Update the Impact Fee Ordinance.
  4. Update the Zoning Ordinance.
  5. Review and approve or disapprove proposals for subdivisions and site development.
